It took years for Firefox to get to version 4 and then within 9 months they’ve released 6 versions of the popular browser…I don’t know if I like this 6 weeks release schedule!
Mozilla announced the release of its Firefox 10 that is already available for Mac and Windows users from the company’s website. Direct download links are at the bottom of this page.
What is new in the version? The way extensions are managed is probably the biggest change. The browser will no longer reject extension when you upgrade to a newer version. Firefox 10 will assume the extension will work, unless labeled incompatible.
Other changes are the forward button now hides itself until it has a function, the inclusion of APIs for full-screen web apps, and anti-aliasing for WebGL.
Enterprises that don’t want to deal with the rapid release cycle, will find in Firefox 10 a ‘Extended Support Release’.
